Tumour–host interactions and systemic immunity
We investigate how solid tumours reshape hematopoiesis and host immunity beyond the local microenvironment.
How do primary and metastatic tumours instruct distant tissues to generate suppressive immune populations?
Cancer alters immune-cell production and function throughout the host. The laboratory studies communication between tumours, bone-lineage cells and hematopoietic progenitors that can produce systemic immunosuppression.
Connecting local tumour states with organism-wide immune changes may expose intervention points that improve immunotherapy and control metastatic spread.
