Organ-specific metastatic ecosystems
We compare bone, lung, liver and brain metastases to understand how each organ selects and remodels tumour and immune states.
Which ecosystem features are shared across metastases, and which are imposed by the destination organ?
Metastatic cells encounter profoundly different tissue environments. The laboratory builds comparative maps of metastatic ecosystems to distinguish general mechanisms of dissemination from organ-specific programmes of colonisation and immune suppression.
This framework is designed to reveal why therapies that control disease at one site may fail at another.
